Ashot — Shakhruz Ashirov

Hello, this is Ashot.

How I work with my Milas

I'm the founder of MILAGPT. There are two of us humans, and we run the business together with a team of Milas, our digital employees. Here is my ordinary day with them, the team line-up, what they have already done and where the line runs: what a Mila does on her own and what only after my “yes”.

My ordinary day

People decide, Milas do

We set goals, answer questions and make decisions. Below us are the senior Mila, Mila Admin, and her sisters.

A summary instead of going through the chats

Every morning Mila Manager sends a summary: who wrote, who is waiting for an answer, which deadlines are burning.

Mila Admin, the senior one, knows which of her sisters is busy with what. A new task goes to the one whose job it is.

I answer the cards

Every task has four steps. You can see where it is now and who is handling it.

  1. Taken
  2. Working
  3. Done
  4. Sent

When my decision is needed, a single question comes: two options and a recommendation. I choose.

A report on the tasks and the office screen

In the evening she also sends a report on the tasks. The “Mila Office” screen shows who is working, who is waiting for my word, who is idle.

The office is open to you too: in the “Mila Office” game our Milas work in plain sight.

Rules

Open and agreed

The Milas give notice, report back and agree every important decision with me. Here is where the line runs.

Mila does on her own

  • Checks the result before saying “done”: opens the file, finds the record, sees what was sent.
  • Doesn't wait to be nudged: does the work, checks it and reviews how it turned out.
  • Keeps the client cards and remembers every promise.
  • Finds her own flaws and fixes them before anyone else notices.
  • Makes the website a little better every day.

Only after my “yes”

  • Social media posts.
  • Launching ads. The “Launch” button is mine, I set the budget, and Mila never goes beyond it.
  • Emails: Mila prepares a draft and agrees it with me.
  • Important decisions. They come as a question: two options and a recommendation.

If I say “no”, Mila doesn't take offence and doesn't remind me about it a week later. If something didn't work out, she says: here is the fact, here is the conclusion, here is what I'll do differently.
